Yes, but had no clue what an AC was. It was explained to me during recruitment as a pool of resources that could be staffed on any project and my skills benefit by learning many tools. Said nothing about salary adjustments or being treated like a second class citizen.

I came from industry as a project manager at a local manufacturing company. A coworker of mine left and started working for PwC and loved it compared to our previous work environment, so they referred me and I got the job. I had no real idea what I was signing up for at all, let alone the distinction of AC vs. Core.
Now, being in this world for a few years, and specifically at this current time, I am more and more unclear what the true difference between (onshore) AC and Core really is….
I came from outside of industry and I remember hearing it during the recruiting process but no real distinction was made other than less travel requirement / still not entirely sure what’s different about Core except hours and pace?
Came with 6 years of experience but got laid of during covid. I was given any information on the AC at all. Ended up taking a pretty good pay cut from previous job and they wouldn’t up me from associate so had to start at the bottom with all of my experience. Really weird when on these projects with “core” SA and Managers coming to me for advice for solutions and or leading client calls when I’m not supposed to me client facing.
