I’ve been actively applying to roles for about 6 months with nothing but rejections as updates or complete silence—it’s concerning me that I am quite unsure what recruiters or companies are wanting from art directors/ creative directors nowadays. Is it the AI resume feeding system or am I truly needing to add on more technical and potentially soft skills to my repertoire of experience? I do factor in making my resume aligned with the role to better position exposure—any advice? 13 years of exp.

I truly like working at my company but was just offered a position with another firm with a 45% base increase. I don’t want to leave but it’s really hard to turn down that pay increase. 🥴

Having a tough time getting a Product Manager interview. I have 3.5 YOE in technology implementations for a startup (my client). First 2.5 years were spent building my clients software, most recent year has been as a project manager for them. A lot of what I’ve done in last year overlaps ProdM responsibilities but I recognize it is a change. Am I reaching too much for a PM role? I’ve been working as an APM at my current company for 1yr, and have basically been doing the work of a full blown PM the entire time. I’m 21. Maybe I just got lucky, but working in Apple retail was an incredible experience. I was only there for 7 months, but it was enough time to know it’s a place filled with love and laughter. Walking in other Apple Store’s I can feel the energy and I genuinely believe my store was unique. Managers cared and coworkers were connected. I’m going to miss talking about Apple with people, but definitely not helping indecisive assholes try on 30 different Apple Watch bands; they can suck my balls.
