My rule of thumb is $1M TC per $1B revenue shaded +/- 30% by EBITDA relative to peers. That relationship probably flattens out as you go north of 5 billion in revenue, but I mostly work with small/med caps where it holds up pretty well.
Oh man.. That's out of my league to advise or provide insight on. Onto the next fish!
It depends...
Salaries at your level are so spread out and highly dependent on revenue and profit margins. Someone in your role/level could be making $200k or they could be making $2 million. How much revenue are you driving? How much profit margin do your projects have? How many people fall under you? Etc. etc. etc...
(The character count on these posts is a killer) thanks for any advice.
Should add, I’m currently based in London, the consultancy is based in Europe but with global clients.
2x what you were previously making. But the real comp is outside of salary. What’s that looking like for you?
Yeah, wish I knew from experience. 😂
Hopefully I can ask you one day
Assuming you’re going into a similar role, this is really going to depend on how much revenue and profit you’re driving at your current firm and how much you’re expected to drive at your next firm.
hmm. .. never knew salary confusion can get all the to this level too. Now onwards I will get out of this haunted low balled feeling.
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and help.
