Hi Fishes, I have received an offer from Barclays for AVP position. But the role discussed during interview was for Tech Delivery Manager whereas the offer letter mentions it as Tech Delivery Lead. Can you guys please suggest if it is the same role or should I request recruiter to get the role updated? Moreover it would be great if any of you can shed some light on the prospects/challenges of this role based on your experiences. Barclays Barclays global service center

Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

Interviewing with Apple next week for the roles of Global Supply Manager (GSM) and Worldwide Procurement Analyst in Austin. Does anyone have any tips or advice for the interview? What kind of questions do they ask?
Also, what’s the compensation like in Austin specifically? I would think the compensation would be different than Cupertino. Anyone have any offers or salaries for these positions in Austin?
Thoughts on a Omega De Ville Prestige as a first luxury watch? Would be ~$7.5K USD at retail. Some friends have said great things about Omega as a starter, whereas others say it’s not worth it over a Rolex Oyster Perpetual (which would be similar in cost).
I personally love how clean the design is, the use of gold, and the thinner band as it links the watch … find the Rolex band design to be too chunky.

One of the problems with the cannabis industry is that it's very much about who you know. There's a lot of nepotism and friendship hiring. I've noticed it in cannabis more than almost any other industry I've ever worked in. I would encourage you to network and see if you have any friends who can help you get connected to a job rather than cold applying.

Networking always wins. All companies act like this because there's so many applicants they can pick whoever they want. Make friends.
I don't know the industry, but from the sounds of it, they're just doing the same as every company. There are tons of people out of work currently, so they can be super picky about hiring only the most experienced candidates. That doesn't make it any less annoying, it's just what's going on. Some company will be willing to give you that opportunity to get your foot in the door, and once they do, it'll be much easier for you to keep getting positions with the industry experience on your resume.

This industry is a bit different than most, so I’m not sure how to get your foot in the door. It’s not as if you can walk up to a dispensary and hand over a resume, I assume. I’d continue to apply as you are, and as the others mentioned above, tap into any industry connects you have.

that’s so frustrating—especially when you have hands-on experience and a solid background. The industry can be oddly picky, but keep pushing; the right company will value real-world skills like yours over flashy credentials. Don’t let a few “more qualified” emails discourage you.
