Hero MotoCorp The ongoing sub judice between Hero Electric and Hero Motocorp, clearly shows that market leaders are all set to bet big on electric mobility solutions, but the new commers have clearly established them selves as experts in the field, though only innovators and early adaptor are the groups buying the e-mobility model, will the early majority stick to the newcomers or go to the tried and trusted brands in the future?
Happy short month

I'd respond back something along the lines of "It is my understanding that this was requested to be done by EOD Monday, has the deadline changed?"
Force them to either explain their impatience or at least acknowledge to themselves that they're being impatient.

This is what i do and then if they confirm its still the same i acknowledge and reconfirm that theyll see the deliverable before the deadline.
Sounds like they're due EOD today and that's when they're getting them

Haha not a minute earlier now that they had the audacity to tag me on a Sunday.
Don't let their issues get in the way of your personal/professional integrity. You will be remembered for how you handle this. There could be issues that you are unaware of, stresses that they have with the client, etc. Maybe they are just double checking. You never know when you might need grace from them.

Just to clarify they were asking me to add my 2 slides for a 10 minute slot in an internal meeting. Draft slides werre already submitted in the deck last week and i told them I'll get final touches in by deadline.

I'm guessing the person wants the slides earlier because they're not confident in your work and they feel like they're going to have to make some additional edits and want time to do that

Lol the slides were turned in on time and I had multiple execs reach out afterwards saying they loved my speaking slot. 😜😜 I'm not a newbie I know what I'm doing, how to present and always respect a deadline... even had time to stop by this post to reply to folks, someone give me a cookie for stellar time management.

Thats annoying - if you agree on a deadline like that, particularly on a shorter turnaround time, dont pester to follow up. Particularly over a weekend! Out of pettiness I would probably wait until EOD as well haha

Hahah thats how I feel it was my first update I had this morning i was like seriously 😑😑 I told you I heard the deadline and was going to do it this morning but now I’m going to make it my last task for the day.
He/she should have set realistic expectations of when to have slides prepped by.
Yes. Just submit them when they're done. If that's at EOD, fine. If it's earlier. Just submit 'em.
Be a team player. If you were in charge of putting together a deck and needed slides from different people, wouldn’t you want them as early as possible so you had time to make it great? Even if your work is always perfect and on time, remember that’s not true for everyone. Be the kind of teammate you’d want on your own project—someone who makes things easier, not harder. People remember when you help them out, and that goodwill often comes back around when you need a hand.

For sure i'm not one normally for a petty style of work. I was traveling back to back, long days and on sites so sometimes it doesn't work to give the slides at the earliest part of the day its due... slides made it in on time.
“BY Monday “ means Sunday to me….

EOD Monday = END of DAY Monday.
"By Monday" isn't an specific deadline and understandably could mean different things to both parties. But EOD is a very clear and defined deadline..
What are you doing here? You'd better get that done then, JK.

Lol you pulling my leg i turned it in already (on time too tysm!!! 😜😜)
