I’ve been doing more than my job description for just about half a year. Annual performance reviews are coming in a couple months. I plan to ask for a higher raise (vs 3%). I’ve also researched and average salary is about $10k more than what I make.

When asking for a raise, how do you balance your personal performance with industry standards? Do you lean more on your achievements, or on market data? Which has been effective for you?

What’s the comp most people cap out at if you dont make partner?

Team just applied for a TS Clearance (defense agency). Trying to assess if it makes sense to wait till the clearance comes through (6 months to a year?) before I job hop. I'm hoping to get some clarity on the following:
1. Can my company withdraw or cancel my clearance if I leave right after I secure a TS?
2. In terms of compensation, how much value (% compensation) does a TS clearance have in the DC area? Places I'm considering: AWS, Azure, GCP, Data bricks, Appian etc.

I am having 8.7 YOE JAVA Backend developer and having offer from Nagarro now.
So I wanted to know about the BGV process, like what docs they ask like docs from all of the past employers ?

As I dont have exp letter from my 1st company (with 1.6 yoe) which was a small startup.
