I’ve been in the same role long enough that I can usually solve most problems quickly, which should feel good, but lately it mostly makes me wonder if I’m staying too comfortable. Nothing is wrong enough to force a move. How did you know when it was time anyway?

Sometimes it's okay to switch jobs for a challenge or to get yourself out of a funk. But lately I have felt the pressure to stick around even though I'm a little bit bored because the job market is just not very good right now. All the jobs out there are paying less than what I'm making now. That being said, I think you just know when you're ready to start looking elsewhere. It's like a gut feeling.

I definitely understand not feeling mentally challenged. It depends on where you are in life.

Seek challenges- make it known you want additional complexity or a more expanded role. From this perhaps an advanced level or position may present itself. Many times folks could wrongly believe you are happy with your status quo.

If you aren't being challenged in your role anymore, that is the first sign it is time to go. I think a lot of times we become comfortable and growth feels like too much work. But if you are questioning it, it is probably time to look for something that will continue to challenge you.

So back in July I went out for a new position at my small company that was rapidly expanding (Account Manager). Was notified that I didn't get the full promotion but was told instead that I was still moving up and was going to be Customer Service/Account Manager Support. The new Account Manager had no customer service experience within our niche industry. I instead had to help help him with all customer service issues.

I feel like I am being taken advantage of. ADVISE APPRECIATED.

Deloitte tax senior/manager peeps. I’m currently unhappy with the direction EY has gone in the last year plus fed up with the awful admin tech that ends up wasting time. I am product designer with a fair amount of experience (6yrs).

Recently was interviewed for a Sr. role in Booking but unfortunately, the team finds me better suited as a core individual contributor.

I am also in the advanced stages of some lead designer positions in other companies.

However, I am really interested in joining the team at Booking, especially because of the design culture.

What should be my reasons to accept or not accept the offer from booking?

What shall be the next steps, shall I wait for some days or start looking for other jobs as getting a project looks difficult as there are minimalist responses.
