I think that just by asking this question, you might want to start looking.. When you feel something is missing, or it's boring, not a challenging time to move on.. Because someone will do it better since you don't care as much and the pay will also reflect that. For me, I try to challenge myself to grow as much as possible to help me increase my pay and skills. If you pivot, what would you do?
I think you are right. Thanks for weighing in!
I personally would start by discovering new ways to challenge your team. Maybe you're there to push the boundaries and take them to the next level. Chances are you're not the only one feeling that way.
Good idea, need to brainstorm!
Whenever you start to feel stagnant. There's nothing wrong with working in the same type of environment, but if you aren't advancing in them (either your skills or titles), it's probably time to make a change. You don't want to be stuck in the same role doing the same work for the rest of your career.
If you feel like you're just treading water and not really going anywhere, that's it, that's when you know. But, there are lots of factors involved. If you're comfortable and nothing's really wrong, you might want to try change your approach but still stay where you are. But if you want to pivot, there has to be something to pivot to. If you've been entertaining ideas of making some changes, get serious about pursuing those plans.
Yeah I need to sit down and really weigh out the pros and cons I think.
When I am not moving up in my career, that for me is when it is time for me to find something new. I am someone who is very career driven so I always want to be moving up and reaching my next big goal. When that isn't happening its time for me to move on.
