I have a pre-offer with a relocation requirement to California from Arizona. Position is for a company servicing Medical as a Manager supporting multiple supervisors, staff of 164 plus, possible night shift support. Question on mortgages. I’m selling my house 4 months after a refi (great sellers market, and had a death in my family so need to move). My lender (a friend of mine) says I have to pay a penalty if I sell before I make my first 6 payments. I read my contract E2E though and it explicitly says there’s no pre-payment penalty. I assume he’s BSing me - anyone have any background to this? He swears it’s “standard”. This is my 3rd home purchase and have never heard of this!
