I've been released from my current project in GBS, last date is Feb 28th.

I got an offer from ISDL, and completed interview rounds. I'm offered a hike as well.

But my manager said the GBS to ISDL movement is not possible.

Can anyone please tell me, whom to connect in such a situation? From ISDL, they are ready to onboard me, but I think it's the GBS that is not letting me go even after realising from Project.

Transitioning from com. lit into tax controversy?

I have a tax LLM and started my career out of law school doing M&A tax at a big4. After 9 months, I got out of big4 transactional hell and into whatever litigation I could find. I now practice commercial lit but would welcome the opportunity to eventually transition into tax controversy (which I wasn’t able to do before). Does my commercial litigation “break” hurt my prospect? How long can I stay in com lit without hurting my chances even more?
