Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

I know this feeling all too well. I asked my company for about $20k more to be line with the market rate for my job. I had been there 5 years. They refused and said they are actually paying me the market rate and in the end the gave me $2k more (a little less than a dollar an hour). I left and got a job that paid me $18k more.
Within 2 months I was out
If it were my I’d start looking for jobs elsewhere. I know nothing about what your job entails so I have no idea if the market is good or not (sounds like sales or customer service?) but without another option you have no leverage to negotiate your pay with.
Is the extra work worth it...$2080? If not, i would refuse the promotion🙄
I have worked for SS&C for over five years and the one dollar raise is typical. You can barter back when you get your raises - most likely will be rejected. Take your talents where you will be appreciated, this is not the company that will. Most of us are only still there because it’s half decent pay for working from home.
