You may have fallen into the trap of delivering at a consistent good standard but not showing that you have the potential to move up to the next level. Have a proper constructive discussion with your counsellor to understand what the next steps are for progression and then work on thisd development areas.
Then you need to find a new job, before it's impossible to move elsewhere
There may also be a salary cap at the senior associate level. Doesn't matter how hard you work, if you don't have the cert to advance you're going to be capped out. Can't expect to be a senior forever and think your pay will consistently increase.
Unless you're missing a cert, you're not a high performer. Sorry to break it to you
9 years with no promotion.. I would've left a long time ago. You should be a sr manager by now making twice more.
You’ve been at EY for 9 years and you’re still a senior? You’re not a high performer and yes 100k is underpaid.
that is a huge red flag. even if the title is senior, your comp for 9YOE is wild
i’m pretty sure my interns make more than that
You should consider to leave if there is no promotion for 3 years within one company.
Since I’m assuming that you’re still a senior due to the lack of not having your CPA, i would suggest getting the EA instead. It’s “easier” and faster. They’ll promote you with it! Good luck!
Do you have the certification you need to get promoted?

This is the problem at the manager+ level at most firms, you lead people to think they are performing well when in reality they are not. Then there is a huge shock when people are let go when it was for performance but its branded under something else. Just be honest with your staff, its not hard to tell someone they are underperforming
Sure, it’s smart on some level if they do not think the employee can produce at higher levels. I think the reaction of most that are reading this is that you should either demand promotion or move on. You are doing yourself a disservice if you are performing well,
I would think that depends where you live and what you do. Do you need CPA and don’t have it? What group are you in?
Do you have whatever certification you need to get promoted to manager? Are you in LCOL city. Have you discussed why you have not been promoted with group leader?
I would have a talk with your career advisor about progressing to next level
You’re not a high performer if you’re a Senior 25.
Are you CBS?

lol, bruh.
Yeah, none of this sounds right. Indirect tax isn’t different than other parts of tax. Should be 3 years as Senior at most unless something is wrong. You need to speak to your group leader.
