Hi, I need a referral for an internship
in Financial Advisory Team
Valuation, M&A, FDD, or Financial
Consulting - at Big 4 in Germany,
can anyone help me?
I did my bachelor's degree at the
University of Mannheim.
I would appreciate any kind of
support and advice.
I'm not above reaching out to alumni
directly via Linkedln, but l'd prefer to
bug as few as possible. So if you
want to help, guide, or mentor,
please pm me.

Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

Agree with above - if you want a new challenge then go to industry. Why move to another firm when you already like yours? Big 4 isn’t a glamorous thing. You should have other reasons for wanting to move
Ya just give it some thought first as to what you actually want to do instead of just thinking it’s helpful to have on your resume
My humble opinion about the Big 4 is that you start your career there. Learn a lot, network, and get the credentials on your resume. Then you get out after a few years. Of course, some people love it and will stay, but I feel that’s the minority. That said, too, it is an experience.

Are you saying I should or shouldn’t go for it then?
If you're 'enjoying' public accounting, I would not move to big 4.
It's a personal opinion. But years ago when my husband graduated college, I begged him not to apply to big 4. He did...for his ego. And then he regretted it literally every day until he left after 2 years. I'm sure some people like it though.

Thanks for the advice, it’s definitely something I’m going to have to think about
What's the drawback to applying? No one is going to force you to accept the job if you don't want to. There's no downside to throwing your hat in the ring and seeing if you can land an interview.

That’s a good way of looking at it actually. There’s no harm in just seeing if I could get in and then making a decision later down the line
