I get where you're coming from, but I’d personally stick with sales if the pay is solid and the commissions are still good. Stability’s nice, but the excitement and growth potential in sales are hard to beat. Plus, you’re in control of your earnings and success, which can be pretty motivating
Sales is a grind but the income possibilities are much better. The longer you do it the more stable and better it becomes. I would have a very hard time leaving for a set salary
I agree
I'd be open to the idea. I'm more or less fine doing what I'm doing, but there are times when I think at some point I'll get sick of it. So if something came along that was an exit ramp, and the work situation and compensation made sense, sure, I'd take a serious look at it.
I’d take it. I’ve realized sales isn’t my forever and I’d like to try something new to see if I can find more satisfaction. If it doesn’t work out, there’s always sales opportunities and it helps when you have the experience of another role under your belt
Stable is an illusion. Stay close to the money. Sales is the thing, everything else is overhead.
I'm an instant Shalom you're loved 💔
I say why not, if that is what you want. Only you can weigh the pros and cons. Write a list and see what comes out on top. Personally, I have spent my entire career learning every job there is in the supply chain industry. I also put myself through school to get a Bachelor degree in Business, as well as a certificate in Supply Chain Manager. Knowledge is power!
After thought: Are you in the industry you plan to stay in? Would moving provide more experience that you can take to an industry you want to work in. When I look for jobs, I target specific companies and industries which is aerospace/defense. I'll learn whatever I can as long as I can continue to grow my experience in this industry. Sometimes, it's not what you do, but the industry you do it in.
Leave. I know marketing people who make millions. They did the marketing role for the same time I've done sales.

I would definitely take a close look at the new opportunity. Especially if the pay is very similar . No stress or very little stress. The shelf life of a sales rep is short.
