Omg I know. This Kamala BRAT summer stuff is really driving me nuts. We don't want a politician who's an "it girl" we want a serious politician that is smart and qualified, able to make legitimate improvements to our economy, etc. I am so over the meme-ified political landscape
I think this take differs by generation. I’m gen z and we’re sick of the phony virtue signaling bs. These campaigns are resonating because while it may be silly, it’s backed by authentic and credible messaging - whether it be a speech or a value statement
OP I don't know but I wish someone would tell them to cut it out. You are right, that is not at all what we care to see. But I honestly don't think they cae what the American people want at the end of the day. They seem to be off in their own little world haha.
I actually think people DO want to see this kind of stuff from politicians. The Kamala BRAT stuff has worked well for her campaign. People don't want stick-in-the-mud Ivy League comms from politicians anymore. I don't think the entirety of a campaign's marketing mix should be memes, but it needs to be considered in the digital age.
Totally agree. The key word of “marketing mix” is MIX
I enjoy the funny political stuff. It’s not either or, it can be both
I wouldn’t mind if all U.S. politicians kept it balanced but focus more on pressing issues, however we’ve lately seen the opposite.
