I always come into an interview with a solid career plan, I want to express that I want to be committed to the company - not just a role. It’s always been a great conversation.
That mindset really stands out. Hiring teams love seeing long term thinking and commitment beyond just the next title.
In my experience career budget and courses are nice, but you can hardly dedicate enough time to actually apply what you learned in a decent way. The things I think make the most difference are people better than you that you can learn from. That's where the strongest learning comes from. It should be people actually willing and open to teach you and lead by example, not people enjoying correcting you, if you know what I mean.
Completely agree. Budget helps, but real growth comes from strong mentors, good feedback, and teams that truly invest in teaching.
