I’ve started thinking about changing jobs/companies after a couple years and a promotion at my current job. This is the first time I’ve ever considered leaving before having a new gig lined up since I’ve always been a planner and I don’t like risk. I’m feeling a combination of burnout, lack of support up at the top of the company, and feeling unable to continue trying to make a difference when it’s not being received. I’m confident I’d be able to find a new job quickly. Any advice?

Does anyone freeze with deadlines, and if so what works for you? Whenever I have a deadline my brain freezes and refuses to work. It used to be that my brain worked overtime right before a deadline - now it refuses to work until after a deadline. I think this is because all of my deadlines are internal and I’ve never had a partner look at anything immediately after a deadline.
