I've tried every trick—boarding early, minimal luggage, etc.—but it seems like budget airlines get more cramped and unpredictable every year. Recently, my "budget" ticket cost me more in fees than a regular airline would have. Are there any budget airlines out there that actually treat you like a human? Or is it worth just paying a little more?
