Sales is weird right now. AI’s creeping in, sure, but can it really replace that human charm that seals deals? Nah, I think the people who lean into the “people” part of sales are the ones who’ll stick around.
I think I'll be in sales for the foreseeable future. I suppose I'm one of those job huggers who are supposed to be a new trend, I don't see any point to trying to find another job with everything that's going on. As for AI, I'm sure there will be some data and administrative functions that will be augmented by AI. The selling will still require humans, I'm not so sure clients want to deal with a robot.
I don't feel great about it, mostly because I'm burned out. I'm not terribly worried about losing my job to AI. It might make it harder to find work, but I tend to agree there will always be a need for some level of human touch.
YES! for real, like I want to leave my job so bad and no longer work in food industry too but with the job instability nowadays, I feel like thats a risky move to job hop
