What novels do you use in your ELA classrooms? I am curious to see what everyone else is using !

What's the best printer for a Special education self contained classroom? I have 10 students and need a printer that can handle printing work for them daily and IEPs at the end of the year. Any suggestions? Cost of 350 or less preferable

I'm transitioning from teaching 8th grade mathematics at a public school to teaching a 7/8 self-contained classroom at a charter school.
Any advice for teaching mixed grade levels or multi subject is appreciated: scheduling, classroom setup, subject order, behavior management, etc. I'm struggling to find my rhythm with only 6 weeks before kids return.

Also wondering what curriculum is being used, if any, in your classrooms

Does anyone have experience working for Connections Academy or another virtual academy? I am very interested in teaching from home, but most virtual jobs I have reviewed still require you to come to an office/ school building. I want to know what it is like, specifically the work load. Would you say more or less than public? How does classroom management, amount of grading, and freedom of curriculum differ?

I’m using Padlet for students to post artwork. They type in a reflection of the process & post. It’s created a sense of classroom community seeing everyone’s artwork, can comment & like. First 3 Free!

What are your experiences with blended learning in the classroom?

Our school uses Foss Kits for Science and I was told when students return, we will need to sanitize all items before and after each use. This doesn’t seem possible in a middle school setting where each period has a 4 minute break and 25 students in each period. What do you do in your classroom to minimize the amount of work needed to clean and sanitize items. I don’t want to short change the students’ hands-on experiences.

Getting over heartbreak and having a full time job is torture lol. My boyfriend and I just broke up after almost a year of being together. I am a Product Owner with 4+ YOE. I have been in my current role for 4 months and have continuously found that this role and company are not the right fit for me. Looking back on everything they said during the interview process it turns out that the culture, product and role are not aligning with anything we discussed. They have added on responsibilities and I have continuously expressed to my direct manager how I feel.
