Probably good. The director may have been intending to focus on your personal skills rather than specific job skills.
Is this the type of person I can have a drink with test
I’ve been searching for a position like this. Whats the official title of the position? And whats your background?
I’d say this is good, any interview where they’re more interested in learning about YOU as a person has always seemed to be a formality to getting a job to me. Why would you think it would be negative to have your possible future director express that your last round went well and that he wanted to get to know you? Workplaces have a lot of moving parts and while you may be able to find 100 people with a skillset that fits a position, chances are there wouldn’t be as many people whose personalities would mesh with current office culture wherever that may be. I say don’t worry about it and I’ll give you preliminary congratulations on the soon to come job offer my friend.
So, did you get the job?
