Set up a Hyatt account and start transferring points there when you find stays you want. Probably Chase’s best transfer partner outside of airlines; AMEX is typically better for airlines
Oh wow! I am setting up my account today, thanks!
I’d say pay for everything you’d normally pay with a debit card with this card but pay it off frequently so they don’t charge you any interest . I have a Capital One Venture card and I pay it off basically every few days. I pay for groceries, gas, bills etc with it since I’d have to pay for this stuff anyways and this way I’m earning some travel miles
Yes I have automatic payments set up and have never paid interest on a credit card but good advice nonetheless!
Have you taken the 10xtravel.com free course? It shows so many ways. I switching all my normal bills when I get a new card, use the Chase Shopping Portal for any purchases I’m already going to make for point stacking, really watch categories and what cards to use.
I used to use CardPointers but MaxRewards is better IMO about aggregating accurate data and every being able to activate your offers, especially the Amex offers. I have about 7 Amex cards, so this helps a ton to save money with those Amex offers.
Question for this group— to get the most benefits from the sapphire card do you have to book through their system? For corporate travel we have to go through a separate system. Does it still get us max benefits that way by using the card on travel or does it have to be through the chase rewards platform? (I know you have to redeem points/book rewards travel through the chase system, but wondering about simply booking non rewards trips.)
I used to track everything manually and with excel sheets back before there were apps to help. I found this one and have loved it over all the other ones. It tells you what card to use per category but even down to specific merchants and sites. Can also help track all your offers and bonus sign up offers too. If you play the credit card churn game or just need help taking advantage of maximizing your miles/points earnings. Here’s my link where you can try their gold level for a whole month free so you can see if you like it as much as me or not.
👋 Hey! I use MaxRewards to manage my cards, monitor my credit scores and maximize my rewards. Use my code (gm1391), on signup to get 1 month of premium benefits for free 🤝 https://maxrewards.app.link/gm1391
Appreciate it! I am using a Google spreadsheet. It works but I think as I get further in it will be beneficial to level up.
I would recommend checking out Card Pointers. If you use the referral link, you can usually get a better welcome offer and you can receive the professional version free for the year. I use this to check out which card offers more points or has an offer that I may need to activate. I’ve never changed my original spend methods… I just work smarter. 😊
