Congrats
There is a reason they want you for the job. You got this. Congrats!
Congrats! That’s awesome
Can’t speak for the D but you are at a pretty good transition point. The more senior you get the harder it is to jump ship. Especially if you are going to a marquee brand like Amazon. Plus u can always go back as long as you handle the exit professionally
Fake it till you make it. Or crash horribly.
Seems like a very big step up. What were you doing at D? How many years of experience? I am also interested in making a similar transition. I would be grateful if you can give some insight into what your path was and what you think went right for you. Thank you

How's the cost of living in SF you're looking at relative to your salary? Be aware that in the SF Bay area, $117k income for a family of 4 is considered low income.
Don't get played by seeing a pay increase
Yeah if your TC is like 190-200k don’t expect your quality of life to improve significantly if you’re moving from ATL to SEA and it definitely won’t be better if you’re moving to SF.
If you rent you will be in a better place because the average cost of rent in a nice apartment complex in dowtown-ish Seattle/peninsula bay area would be about ~20% to what you would pay in a nice place around midtown / ofw.
The main issue is buying a home. While in ATL you’d get a nice condo for ~300-400k, don’t expect anything comparable in these areas that aren’t closer to 600-700k. If it’s a house you’re looking for, Seattle can be close to a mill and the Bay Area is definitely more than a mill easy. These numbers are of course area specific but a general ballpark of where people in our profession stay.
There are of course other monetary values to consider but my opinion is that if you like Atlanta as a place to settle down for the rest of your life, this move will not be any better in the long term financially. Atlanta is a place you can make a lot of money because the cost of investing is so low.
OP what do you mean by your Referrals team. Please elaborate
Thoughts? Feel senior prod manager at Amazon is pretty high up, worried.
100k rsu vested in how many years? Is it per year or 100k over 4 years?
Vested over 4y
Married and wife makes as much
What’s the base? Giving raise % doesn’t provide necessary info to gauge
@OP What is your actual base offer from Amazon? $195K Base is awesome, $160K is okay.
You can get them to double the stock for your offer. I’ve seen Senior PM offers go to $300K TC. $200K-$250K is more representative of a PM offer.
Amazon has a ceiling. Base hits 160k
Do it. Amazon opens doors you wouldn't believe
Got in by referral.. It was for my referrals team so he was able to talk to hiring mgr on my behalf and set us up for a conversation
