Life 😂😂 jst jkn bruh
Depends on your field and career path. If IT focused, go with other ISACA certs
CFE can be completed in a month. It's not really a highly sought after cert for employment except by government jobs mostly. For the work we do, I'd recommend an IT auditor get a CIA over a CFE if they were unwilling to do a CPA. CIA is internationally recognized and is a check the box cert for Director of IA type roles where one doesn't have a CPA. CFE is usually not so.
If the firm is paying for the dues and testing.. go for it. I just didn't think the CPE time effort and benefit were worth it.
For what it's worth I have a CPA and CISA and did have a CFE but I let it lapse.
None. I have 3 certifications - it’s overkill and makes you look more obsessed with letters after your name than doing a good job. Focus on your work, networking, and your health instead.
CRISC
Forget the CFE is worthless and PMP is not really meaningful in public. ISACA certs will be the most relevant. If you're IT focused get some cybersecurity exposure and certs.
EY3 - why is CFE meaningless? Is there another fraud certification you think is more useful?
CISSP OR CISM
CISM
CPA 👩💼
Thanks EY3. I also have my CPA and CISA and have always wanted to get into the fraud examination side of things... I will look into CIA certification 😊
If you specifically want to do fraud work, the CFE may be needed. I was speaking strictly on a broad based career, the CIA may have a better return if you're in IA/Risk. The CPA sort of already supercedes doing a CIA in most cases because I feel the CPA and CISA is more than enough.
I can see why you want to do the CFE because I came to the conclusion it was an easy cert to do that was different than the CPA and CISA, and may open fraud work up. I never actually got into any fraud work or forensic and so I just let it lapse... I'm pretty much done collecting certifications though, but if I had to do one more it'd be a CIA.
CISSP, even though security professionals scoff at the cert. true story
Do the CFA, all else are garbage, too easy.
