I Have a passion for Products/features. Anyone have experience going into a junior Product Owner role?

I’ve been in IT for 10 years. Desktop, NOC, web server implementations, POS, site trainer, now service delivery analyst in fintech world.

I thought about DevOps, but product / UI / Features excites me more. Having technical knowledge helps me communicate with devs, but I also have the people skills / mindset for product.

Just looking for guidance on how to land a product role. Thanks!

Context: Graduated in 2019 (Finance), 2 years at EY as a business consultant on mix of pmo projects and tech projects where I was developer (data vis, power platform, sql, vba, data analysis etc.). Joined Google on a 6 month contract as a data analyst.

Should I be applying for product analyst roles? Should I apply for strategy consulting? Could I go straight for prod mgmt roles?

What is the typical salary range for an Enterprise Architect position?

Pivoting away from Sales: I’ve been in sales positions for 15 years, and I’m just exhausted by the role (disputing commissions, arguing about deals, all of it). I have a degree in marketing, but I am having a hard time landing interviews since I’ve never had a strictly marketing only role. Not my ideal exit but I accepted an offer at another Big4 for a 26 percent hike in base.
Ideally I’d exit to industry in Product/Program manager role but I really needed out and this came up so I took it. And Im on H1B so I cant keep interviewing/accept a better offer if it comes up, once the transfer is initiated.
I can’t decide if Im happy or sad. I’m relieved for now.

Things are apparently going to get better after a client will be leaving, I’ll get to work on different brands but I am feeling pretty burnt out from the agency I’m at. Will new clients help?
