California CPA exam - if I only received an NTS initially for two exams, to get the NTS for the last two, do I need to reapply to the CBA and mail in the $50 reapplication fee?

Looking for a new job- aiming for about 200k salary or so- one of the options is a firm where I’d be an independent consultant- how much would you ask for per hour? I can do the straight calculation after considering insurance, match, self employment tax etc... but given the additional uncertainty I’m not sure what to ask for.

When I tell people I work for PricewaterhouseCoopers they think we sell water or houses. Or maybe barrels. Frankly all those sound better than professional services, so I let it slide.

A good friend of mine graduated from Parsons this past summer, has degrees in Journalism and French, and is a very talented photographer and designer. And I’m certain she’d make a fabulous junior AD or content strategist. Unfortunately she, like many in this pandemic, is having no luck finding a job despite applying for everything under the sun. It’s a tragic waste of potential and I want to help. Any advice for her or shops/hiring managers/non-traditional job hunt tips to steer her towards? 🤞🏼

Anyone have any experience case prepping as an experienced consulting hire? I am actively interviewing, but finding the case interviews tougher now than when I entered, I.e. I feel like I’m being looked down on when I ask questions about customers, market, etc, because that’s what consulting has drilled into me, when the interview ends up as a standard market sizing case. I know it’s 90% knowing the game, but I feel like I’m undercutting myself if I don’t treat the case like an actual project.

Got a pre-approval for 320k condo for 5% down at 3.25% and 91$ PMI monthly. Closing cost is 9k including the escrow for tax and insurance. Is this a sweet deal or bad? Should I negotiate/ shop for other offers? Should I put 20% down instead?

If you got a bad first performance review (actually bad, so figure a 1 or 2 out of 5, but no PIP and given the chance to improve, and also told it’s fine because first review), and you’re not getting fired over it, would you put a lot of effort into trying to move firms once you’re able to say you have a year of experience, or would you just try to improve your reputation at the firm you’re already at, since leaving after 1 year isn’t generally ideal?

Does anyone have any analysis or data on the people who have passed from COVID? Very curious to see how many of those already had underlying conditions and are being tagged to the virus. Almost starting to feel like fear-mongering. Millions of cases with 1% fatality is a bit suspect.
