To be fair, I'll add mine...
My side took the L and yeah, I'm pretty upset and disheartened because to me, despite all the politics, it comes down to picking a decent human. Someone that exemplifies everything we teach our kids not to do shouldn't be repping the country.
That said, my Pollyanna self thinks the US is a massive economic machine that would endure pretty much anything for a few years, so we'll get through it. I just hope we can have enough checks and balances to make sure we can make some progress socially through all the madness.
I agree. Trump could have had better policies and plans then the vp and I still would have voted for the decent human and perfectly on paper role model. I do have to say the fact congress is requesting Matt gaetz ethical hearing report and who the senate voted for as the majority leader gives me a glimmer of hope that he will have checks and balances and the loyalty will only go so far. So I’m staying optimistic. But I also have a list of countries a house I can easily turn into an investment property and a valid passport if it gets to a point where I no longer feel safe
I wasn’t surprised. I knew that when they started to replace Biden months before the general it was over.
Disappointed but not surprised by the results. I cringe whenever i think about our Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and that we reelected a convicted felon as our President. I have minimal confidence regarding any checks and balances given the head in the sand approach many took during his first administration. Now we have more individuals in positions of power who have already publicly vowed to push forward this dystopian agenda at any cost. We have individuals in all branches of government and manner of roles who have no regard for women-our president elect, two Supreme Court justices, and the DoD pick. These cabinet picks are comical and this bromance with EM is about as bad as the fascination with dictators, strong men, and other authoritarian rulers he admires. I don’t know when the world and the US regressed so far backwards. This man has already shown us who he is. I believe him. I will be happy to be proven wrong. #notholdingmybreath
