What additional skills can I get certified in to make me more marketable as an accountant? Other than CPA

I’m having the hardest time finding a new job. I have 12 years of HR experience, a masters in HR, SHRM certification, and all I keep getting are rejection emails. I’ve never experienced this difficult of a time searching for new opportunities. Is this normal once you hit a certain level in your career or is it just me?

I studied finance in undergrad and had a couple of internal audit internships. I only started a few month ago but I never saw myself doing IT Audit and I don’t like it thus far! Would I need to get a CPA in order to move into audit or something more finance/accounting oriented like FDD, Valuation, etc.? (Still need to get to 150, thinking of doing an online MAcc)

Is Wall Street prep worth it to help break into IB?

I’m taking a Microsoft certification course with Excel 2016. Should I opt for the 2019 version or are there few differences?

Hey guys! Currently in WM ops at Morgan Stanley for the past 1 year dealing with alternative lending, I’m super underpaid with 3 years of experience which is very frustrating. (73k). Have been at Morgan for 1 year and looking to come over to JPM for an ideal pay bump, but would like to get into IB type roll. Any insight on what I should expect or how to go about applying? Maybe even getting referred? I have a deep knowledge of investments and always felt inclined to go down this route.

Are there any spreadsheets or charts showing reference points for self report surveys for compensation? Maybe from FB users on salaries, tier city comparisons, level/role, different companies etc?

Do you guys think it’s easier to land a higher salary when applying externally rather than internally? Also this is for a territory sales management role. They stated 120k+ is extremely high for that role. What do you guys think? Playing the game?
