What are your thoughts about wearing only a casual graphic tee for an interview at a non-tech company? I interviewed a candidate and he dressed casual (at least from the top and up) when all other candidates were business professional. The position will be full time in office eventually. One of my senior managers is a boomerang and told me she was laid off when she was 7 months pregnant about 10 years ago. I think she was a senior or manager. She was in a specific group and everybody was laid off. It wasn’t performance based.

Has anyone went from public accounting to the government(IRS) or vice versa? Been at the IRS as a revenue agent for about 6 years now , currently a GS-13 in NYC. WLB is absolutely incredible and I believe cannot be beat, but looking for a pay increase as NYC is insanely expensive. Anyone who’s made the jump, pros and cons ?
