I’m getting ready for my first telephonic Case Management Conference as a first year associate. I’ve never been “in front” of a judge before. I received some training and I look forward to the experience, but I’m a little nervous about having to speak in front of the judge. I know the case, but I’m afraid I’ll freeze and make a fool of myself. Any advice re: court calls, courtroom etiquette, or stories about your first times in front of judges?

Anyone have any affordable case management software recommendations? I’m looking for something a bit non-traditional as I work for a small nonprofit. It is not the firm or the people. I just hate the high billables. I have been applying to other jobs but I think I may need a recruiter for help. Any recommendation for a great recruiter in NYC?

I'm involved in a personal case that I'm the lead counsel on. I decided I wanted to handle it because every attroney I talked to I didn't end up trusting to handle it for one reason or another. I'm having issues with it. I'm losing sleep over it, and just feeling very stressed. It's set to go to trial at the end of the month and the closer it gets the harder it gets.

I've been completely objective and rational the whole time but the closer it gets to trial the more stressed I'm feeling.
