Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

What percentage of your total comp is in RSUs?
Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)
(sap domain)
How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!

Waiting 2 weeks before follow-up is standard I thought . Anyways I waited 2 weeks and the recruiter apologized for not getting back earlier as she was busy and told me I’m advancing to onsite
OP, applying a few years ago and now shouldn’t leave a bitter taste. Headcount at Google changes pretty frequently, and it’s no surprise a role got moved away due to strategy. Likely there was a reorg and the VP shifted tacts, or product was sunset, or an internal transfer, which made the role redundant.
I’d be surprised if they totally ghost. To G1 and M1s point, it takes quite a long time between rounds. They’re hiring dozens of roles at a time, each with minimum 1 contact (like the hiring manager) as well as coordinating all the onsites. It’s often not the recruiters fault, they’re at the mercy of people’s schedules on how quickly they can move things along.
Most people apply several times before getting hired. The number of applications received annually itself is mind boggling, and they have to sort through it all.
Just some perspective on their remit. Yes it’s long and can be very frustrating but it is what it is.
Just looked back through my records. There were 11 days between my first and second interviews. That’s just one data point.
Google is extremely slow and way more unstructured than Facebook in their recruiting process in my experience. This might be by design. My data points include my failed onsite and two friends who made it through.
Recently signed with FB after 2 onsites. One was last year which I didn't clear. The FB recruiter set definite timelines for getting a decision back to me.
Seems like a desperate guy to get into two companies. Curious what clients did you work on before?
Appreciate the feedback, y'all. I think I'm just going to send one more email at the end of this week/early next before the holiday. If I don't hear back, I can move on with my life.
But if I really don't hear back, Google will leave a very bitter taste in my mouth with the recruiting process. I applied for a role a few years ago, and it took them two weeks to schedule an initial interview to only have it cancelled because of a change in strategy. Grant it, I may just be unlucky.
