Does JPMorgan entertain counter offers ?
I have an offer of 18.5 lpa including bonus.
At the time of HR discussion, I was under the impression that this will be 18.5 fixed + bonus
I already have 19.5 fixed CTC offer from Emids and Indegene is ready to pay 23 lpa including joining Bonus.
I am keen to join JP morgan but I want to negotiate the offered CTC.
During HR discussion, HR said they'll not entertain any counter offers later on

Start small. Buy a condo and you’ll be able to sell it to use for a down payment. When I purchased my condo, I didn’t think I would ever be able to afford it. I ended up selling 2 years later at nearly TWICE the amount. Used the profit for a down payment on a house
YEP. Like it always just feels SLIGHTLY out of reach, then when I get a little bit of a boost in my income, so do the housing prices.

Yes, anywhere the agencies are, real estate is insanely expensive and for the most part are in terrible neighborhoods. Before Covid I had an insane commute so I could live in a house in a nice neighborhood. I never want to drive to work again.
Many people in LA bought homes 5-10 years ago. Only time I owned something in LA was when I was in a relationship and bought together.
Honestly, your best bet is to find a remote job and leave LA. I’ve already saved more money the past 12 months than I did in 10 years in LA.
It’s best to go for something just out of range, and catch up. That’s what a lot of folks do. You’d be surprised how much you’ll make down the road.
