I mean, that is the job though. Writing good copy doesn't always mean the most clever or the most insightful or even the most well-written. Sometimes it's literally choosing an emoji. If you're older, it can feel quite fellow kids-y, which is why I like to vet with younger team members and social strategists.
Everyone has been praising me like crazy since I started to use ChatGPT to figure out write-ups, headlines & visual languages for my ideas. Before that there was always something wrong.
The dehumanisation of creativity. We’re there.
It’s cause they’re getting the same results when they check for copy on your ideas.
The worst is when they want trendy copy that ages like warm milk
Unfortunately they don’t let you add the right “stuff” to make it age correctly
I hate that I have to do this too. Funny you bring it up because I've been whining about this to my husband too. Nothing our team writes is good enough, and then we totally switch it up to be 'FUN', "ENGAGING' 'CATCHY' *insert buzzword* and suddenly it's great stuff. Whatever... just give them what they want.
It’s interesting that any of you lamenting this turn of events aren’t admitting that, prior to the new approach, your copy wasn’t good. Maybe what you think is good, actually isn’t.
Why use many words when few work good? Kevin wasn’t wrong.
I refuse to present a headline that isn’t an actual idea or rooted in an interesting insight. It’s totally possible to use any vocabulary, but if I can’t find a way in that interests me, I’m not presenting it. Maybe I’m lucky to be at an agency that expects and appreciates this.
LOL the comments here are so funny. I can't believe this is the state of the matters now.
Yup. And I don’t think it only happens for this particular audience. Its happening for other demographics as well. Plus, the amount of senior layoffs is also something to look at. After that, they recruit juniors or CHATGPT.
