Layoffs happen everywhere, but rumors on here don't constitute a trend or change or any reason for alarm. Please be careful before you post alarmist talk about layoffs.

It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are: get up and move even if you don’t finish or end up going on a walk. Pls take care of yourself❤️

If you still believe the election was stolen, you should be fired from your job because no client deserves a consultant with such poor critical thinking skills.

So someone I know asked HR about a boot policy. When he found out that there wasn’t one, but his boss said there was (who gave the guys $ for boots and the claimed it on his expense reimbursements as something else) the boss got mad at him for askingHR (and in trouble for the expense reimbursements) and then 2 days later laid off my friend. There appears to be no notice of bad performance and this person always was the first person on the job site ready to work. Thoughts?

I asked for a raise and instead got laid off. Told that after looking into finances not only can they not afford a raise they cannot afford me. But I know for a fact they are replacing me with an Agency that say they can run our Social Media for 500pcm. Is this normal practice these days?

Have an interview with a company I really want to work for tomorrow. My last job I was laid off b/c of an acquisition&recently accepted a job at a diff company b/c I couldnt afford not to. I got this invite shortly after. The place I’m interviewing at the job wouldn’t start til next year. I dont want to seem like a job hopper. Do i tell them I’m at a new role or just not bring it up? I have a question for my fellow PI paralegals in Texas. TPCIGA requires that we submit all medical bills through the clients insurance before proceeding further. The client in question has Aetna.
