BCG final round interview in a week. Any tips on what to expect in a partner level conversation?
- how is it different than the round 1 experience?
- how important is the casing component? I'm doing pretty well, but not perfect. Friends have been eating me 8/10, with the need to improve structure and be more top down in my communication. I'm wondering what I can do to improve that in a week and if that will be a deal breaker on interview day?

It’s as bad as it seems. You wouldn’t see this much posting about it if it wasn’t.
Some people still don’t listen… it’s a canon event.

At least thank you for your honesty about your behavior being linked to your working at LEK!

It’s pretty damn bad - I didn’t know about it at all when I first joined lol. Hours vary a bit by group and TMT is gonna be most brutal practice and hours usually 60-70 hours a week. Got some solid ppl here tho but I would go elsewhere if I had any other T2 or MBB offer
What’s your opinion on why the grind is so grindcore?
I was there for 4 years and was part of the firm during their purge 2ish years ago. 70-80 hours as a Consultant / Manager during that time was a dream come true. And the inefficiency wasn't a result of the Managers / Consultants / Associates. It almost always came from how disconnected the MDs were from the project work. It's not even the hours though... It was the psychotic nature of the leadership, endless gaslighting, constant search for any excuse to lay you off, lying to hires about compensation to trick you into thinking you'll be paid well, and being docked in performance reviews for not being available for a call at 1am because you're trying to find time for a 5 minute shower between reviewing slides and trying to get the team offline before 2am. I left that place for S& when I couldn't take it any longer. It's night and day better over here and I'd NEVER go back.
How’s the culture and WLB at S&?
If a firm has to make their employees work 70/80 hrs per week consistently, it has failed at workforce planning, does this topic ever come up with the LT? who is the CEO? If people act as if that's normal, it will never stop. They need to be called out.
