They are putting conditions like give your full commitment to join then only we'll release offer letter. I am currently looking for work life balance with growth. Hi All,
I have joined cognizant yesterday. I came to know that office location is bantala in Kolkata. I do not want to work in bantala location. I have talked with my recruiter. But hs said offer location is decided on project allocation. How can I change the location to other location? If I leave the job will it be any problem?

Lots of happy people living in SD on less than $100k. How much is a Saturday in January at the beach or hiking worth vs the same day in Chicago?
And the beer is better 😉
Revolution and Lagunitas are awesome but boy do I miss Ballast Point 🥲
I found 250-300k to be better for a more comfortable life in SD
the closer to 300k the better, but 230k is still good in SD if youre single or if you have a girl and she has a income too
You should be pretty good with that TC in SD. Housing is typically much cheaper in Chicago but really depends on where you are in SD. (Eg in La Jolla vs a suburb). What area in SD are you considering?
You’ll be fine on $230k - keep in mind, property taxes are significantly less in CA compared to Chicago. So that should somewhat offset the cost of a more expensive home. You also have tons of good neighborhoods to choose from.
There is a calculator for everything.
