Hi folks,
To those who are looking for a new job or have been affected by layoffs, Refermarket offers free credit to request a referral upon signing up. The platform offers referrals to companies that are still hiring and optimizes your chances of landing an interview as we match you to the most optimal person to put the referral in.

P.S. Referrers on bowl can also sign-up on the platform as employee. Refermarket can provide an exclusive list of candidates to refer to your company.
I got a call from the Google recruiter about my L7 em interview Google She said I did overwhelmingly good on all interviews except one had mixed feedback on a system design. No surprise because it was not a good interview. The recruiter said i had a choice to go to hiring committee, give referrals they could call about my system design or take another system design interview. I’m not confident about the system design because of the bad experience I had with the previous interviewer. What should I do?

You can definitely use another offer as leverage during the salary negotiation phase. Some will play ball and some will say take it or leave it, but there's no harm in trying. In the current market though I'd expect a lot more "take it or leave its" because let's face it, they have a virtually unlimited pool of people to choose from.

Use it as leverage but don’t push too hard
Any advice on how to approach the subject?
hardball option: "hi, I just wanted to let you know that I currently also have another offer on the table. This is my preferred role/dream job/whatever but they are offering me much more competitive benefits/higher salary/more pto/hybrid work/stock options that are making this decision a bit difficult. I was wondering if there's wiggle room in (see above)?
if they say yes, great, if they say no: alright, thought I would ask. i need to talk to my partner/run numbers/think about this more. but I'll get you an answer by the deadline, please let me know if there are any updates.
Thank you very much for taking the time to respond and offer this structure, much appreciated!
