Let's say you're really good at what you do and you are able to have more than one job.

Let's also say you are so good, your manager wants you to be a trainer of the new employees. You are offered a slight bump in pay, but not enough to leave J2 or J3.

What would you do? Take on the extra responsibilities confidently and continuing with J2 & J3 or politely decline?

I say take it and create a seamless rollback or exit plan in the event it becomes overwhelming. As a trainer would you have to be more hands on?

I agree! I believe that hands on can still be managed, as long as J2 & J3 can efficiently run. It may create more moments in training sessions and/or meetings.

I have 3 months of experience in a back-office investment banking time and am currently looking for an opportunity in Hyderabad due to an emergency. I can join the firm within 30 days.
I have the relevant job IDs if you're willing to refer me.
It's urgent as my mom's sick and I need to be back in Hyderabad ASAP so please lend me a hand.

Additional Posts in Overemployed

Currently have J1 as current employer used The work one for my BC. I looked at Equifax/ The work one to see if J2 uses that service, fortunately they don’t.
Question - if J2 runs a BC for J1 and Finds out I am still employed isn’t that a red flag?

I wish I was overemployed. Searching for gigs, but nothing yet. Any tips on how to get one or more extra jobs?

Anyone have multiple FT jobs? I'm looking about to land a new primary FT job, as my current job is very very slow, doesn't really have any projects for me, and could end at any time (with a 30 day notice).
Where there any legal issues? (The two companies area in different industries so no competition). How did you manage both? The new company knows I'm still employed, should I quit the first or keep it as long as I can manage both? Any bad vibes or feelings of unprofessionalism? TIA

I’ve been on the bench with J1 for about 3 months. I was worried that because I couldn’t find another project, I would get laid off so I found J2, which pays more, is very meeting heavy, but I really like. I’ve kept J1 because I’m still on the bench doing absolutely nothing and getting paid. Thinking about looking for a role on a project with J1 that’s not along my career path but will allow for me to do work with no calls so that I can manage both jobs. Does anyone have experience or advice?

The first rule of overemployment is dont talk about overemployment to anyone outside your house. :). Second: always protect the main job. Third: As the main job always has the priority, the Second and third jobs must preferably be contract gigs with not too many meetings everyday. Remember: another day, another dollar.

How difficult is it to juggle a remote role with a hybrid role?

My current role is hybrid with at least two days a week in office. However, with the potential economic downturn, I'm considering holding on to the role to supplement my income.

I'm new to the overemployed movement, so I'm evaluating the feasibility of holding onto the hybrid role and the remote position.
