Whew, lol. Exhaustive. Thinking that you must have learned lots along the way.
I'm reminded that despite our best efforts, it's impossible to make perfect hires repeatedly. Countless studies prove it. It's important for employers to dig, deep.
Digressing a bit here. Hope you don't mind :)
I hope the digging you describe in your post is mutual. Often, we get so caught up in making the right impression that we forget that it's "our interview, too."
Stating the obvious here. Employers want to hire smart, thoughtful people who effectively lead and/or challenge the status quo in a way that promotes growth and customer engagement, employee engagement, etc.
So it goes without saying that asking smart, thoughtful, and sometimes challenging questions during an interview works in our favor. Not only are we gaining important insights, but we're increasing our value as applicants by embodying "smart, thoughtful, etc." with our questions.
And it's not hyperbole to say everyone loves smart, thoughtful questions, is it?! I don't think so.
Yes, The Mothership is a fantastic brand. The very best? Maybe :)
But even the very best employers have their flaws.
