I got an offer with TCS and initially selected joining date as Jan 2.. but current org released me in 1 month instead of 3 months.. I asked TCS HR and others for early Onboarding but they didn't respond well..

If you decide to move down a level in your next role, for learning purposes and for more wlb, is that frowned upon by future employers and looks bad on your resume? I've been think about it but haven't pulled the trigger. Also fear that getting a lower level job will be tough if they see me as 'over-qualified'. Interviewing with a small (50 people) boutique firm in a management position. They are in an industry I have 10 years of experience plus I have 5 years management consulting experience in B4 firm. Assuming the pay and potential bonus are reasonable what kind of challenges would I be in for? I already understand this would be a risk to join and help them grow but if I were successful I think it could be very rewarding.

Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected.
