1 day, 40 hours
uhhhhh,,,,,,, less hours and less days?
That’s a really tough one 🤔

40 hours is antiquated. 4 days 6-8 hours a day.
No, this doesn’t create work life balance. It just gives you even less time to balance items in 4 days. I have young kids, I can’t be spending 10 hours working, get them to activities, and get homework done with an even longer workday.
Same here. Some days it's a struggle to get anything over 8 hours between daycare drop-off & pick-up. And I want to save evenings for family dinner and activities. A 10-hour day would mean squeezing in extra work in early morning or late night, neither of which sounds desirable.
Lockheed is providing every Friday off
All my friends there talked about exit ops and quickly realized they already have the “exit op”
I mean that’s pretty much all govt contractors, very common in the aerospace and defense space

No. If we cut a day out we need to actually cut it . 4 8 hour days.

If the hours are redistributed I’d prefer to keep a 5 day week. I’m salaried so the only benefit to me is if I’m putting in less time.
I used to work a 9/80. 4 days at 9 hours, every other Friday at 8 hours with the opposite Friday off. So every other week, I had a 3 day weekend. Still worked 80 hours for 2 weeks, and was paid every 2 weeks. I didn’t realize how great those 3 day weekends were for my mental and physical health until I went back to regular 5 days+ a week. The only thing is the company had to make sure there was coverage for every role on those Fridays and schedule projects accordingly - which kept M-Th nicely scheduled for WLB too since there was more than one person in each role. I miss it!
I'm in finance and anything is preferable to a 7 days / 18 hours a day work week

Overtime 😂
I work 7.5hrs a day, 4 days a week. The best thing I've ever done for myself.
Left corporate and joined a super small firm. Also took a pay cut but not chasing money right now
3 days 13 hours?
gives you less work-to-life balance Monday-Thursday. doesn’t feel any different, and if you’re working in aerospace or Oil and Gas, it wouldn’t matter, because you’re pumping overtime anyways
I have a family that would get less time with me 4 days out of the week.
I would do 12 hours 4 days!
In a heartbeat.
Working 10 hour days sounds so exhausting.

Give me a 9, 9, 9, 9 and 4 day
I already work 10 hours days lol. So yes it would help drastically
they’d simply request that you work OT on fridays, so it would be all for nothing if you’re already working 50+ hours a week.
