Is Accenture > BIG4?
Increasingly difficult to hold on to both....

Bain & Company Is there a cool down at Bain even if you don’t make it past the resume screen? Applied a couple months ago on a whim (and a referral from a friend) having no experience with anything business/consulting related as a lateral (only had experience in research prior). Since then have had 2 months at a t2 firm plus some biz dev for a startup. I’m aiming to reapply at 6 months. For context graduated from a t10 school and thought I wanted to go to med school for a little bit lol. Bain & Company

How can you seriously say ‘there’s no better place to be’ without have experienced the other ~200 countries in the world
US leads in total number of immigrants, which is not very meaningful (obviously, the US can accommodate more immigrants than Switzerland or Singapore)
Saudi Arabia has actually a higher % of immigrants (13M out of a population of 34M) and ranks 3rd overall in total numbers. Based on your logic, Saudi Arabia should be a great place to live as well.
Immigration is a really complex topic with many factors: Geographic (easier for a Mexican to come to US than New Zealand), political (how many immigrants are allowed into a country?), language barrier, cultural and religious factors etc
What I’m saying is that you can’t use a single statistic to say ‘there’s no better place in the world’

Agree that despite its own unique problems, US still aces to incentivize staying away from home. And when most of us immigrants complain, we largely do because home country was our birth right, but US was our choice , and that it pains us to see US regress.
Which country did you migrate from?
