Google classroom is a life saver. It keeps submissions for an assignment in one place and will export scores to your gradebook. I use it in combination with my Google site. For add-ons: easybib. Also consider draftback (chrome extension).
Google Classsroom imports directly to Aeries
I’m building a Google Site. They’ll go in and go to a new page everyday that’d have all the material I want them to see.
I like Pear Deck as an Add-on for Google Slides. Forms works well for virtual tests or "in class essays" because you can lock the test. You get a notification each time they leave your test.
Pear Deck is the best!
I just learned about Jamboard. It’s a whiteboard with lots of templates for ELA. It is on GSuite
I just used Jamboard for the first time. I really liked it. Advice: Jamboard limits the number of people who can access. It caps at 16-20...can’t remember which...so I make 2. I out the last names A-J on one and K-Z on the other, but you could split however you want. 😊
I agree with all.
There's an extension I just added that I love for giving feedback on writing pieces. It is called Talk&Comment. This is a total game changer for me because and I don't have to sit there and type in the same old same old… "make sure you're checking your spelling, I need some more support for your argument", so on and so on. It just makes it a lot more personal because I'm speaking to them individually and it is a lot faster , which is what I'm really looking for! I am sure there's other extensions but this one I found to be so super easy to use with Google because it is a Chrome extension that is made for Google Classroom. You can embed the feedback into anything: docs, slide shows, emails, you name it.
