Looking for advice when negotiating a relocation package as a PhD student for a pharma rotation program. They’re currently offering a lump sum (8k) and a moving service (or cash out option $3.5k), and have expressed that the cash value of the relocation package isn’t open for negotiation.I’m moving from the Midwest to the Bay Area. Is it worth it to bring up to negotiate again? Would appreciate hearing how you’d approach negotiating this, and/or your relocation packages for reference!

I am expecting an offer from Master Card for Senior Software Engineer position in O Fallon MO. Please let me know what kind of base salary I can expect with 11 yrs experience . I don’t wanna undersell but also trying to avoid being aggressive but quote a decent number which will be achievable. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Is 125k $ base a fair value for or I can pitch higher? They have a 15 to 20 % bonus on top of base pay and a 10% match on 401k which the recruiter keep highlighting.

I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.
