Looking for help!! Got offer for ISB PGPpro course but it’s gonna cost 35L. I’m 10 yrs experienced, earning 34L and working in a good company. I want to explore managerial roles but not sure if the course is really going to make a significant career shift. Please feel free to advice.

I'm a depressed 32 yrs old single with 8 YOE. Last drawn CTC was 5 LPA even after switching 5 companies.
When I see Ppl with 18LPA or 23LPA with 4 or 5 YOR, I really feel my gut wrench with sadness wishing I had that CTC.
I need to put up things right to rebuild my life all over again. What do I do?

Within my first year of Consulting, really struggling with the hours amongst other things. Spoken to a couple of people internally and the advice is to get on to projects with bigger budgets and therefore bigger teams/more support. How do firms calculate how much parental leave to provide, either paid or unpaid. Or do they just pick a number, like “yeah they can get to know their kid in a few weeks and I couldn’t possibly have that attorney out for 12 weeks?” I’m at a small firm, no FMLA or state requirement. We get four weeks paid and four weeks unpaid. Would like to push for more but not sure how to argue costs side of it.

Partners - Do you ever take vacations?

I have been at my current firm for about 1.5 years, and in that entire time the partner in my group hasn't been out of the office a single time. Is that normal? I can't tell if it's standard for big law partners to not take time off, if the dynamics for my group may be different (only 1 partner in the entire group), or it the partner I work with is just a masochist.
