Looking for someone who has insight on how to break into Life Sciences/Healthcare consulting? My friend graduated UG with a bio/life sciences degree and doesn’t want to go the MD/PA route anymore.

Am I crazy? My WLB skews heavy on the L side, my salary is $150k, and most days I’m bored AF with work. Just not engaged or challenged, and I want to be. I want a job that is engaging or challenging…but I’d be giving up the freedom I currently have. I miss the work I did in my MBA program - I want more of that.

Currently have 12 years banking experience and an MBA. I’ve always been career driven but now I’m ending my 8 month mat leave soon with my 2nd baby. I’m really torn if I should take a few years off to be a SAHM. We can financially handle it, although it may be a little tight. My biggest concern is getting back into the work force in 2/3 years. Will this decision really impact my career? Maybe I can look into part time work but I don’t even know where to begin to look with banking experience.

We have been looking to buy a slightly bigger house in a good school district. Our current home is in a not so great school district but our kids don’t start kinder until next year. Current home are pretty overpriced but we wonder if prices would ever come down. With interest rates still comparatively lower would you buy now or would you wait for a few years until the market settles down? I accepted a $115K base salary, 13% bonus, 10k sign on bonus (scientist supervisor) job and two weeks later, got a $135K base, 17% bonus, and 15K sign on bonus (Senior scientist role) offer from another company. Should I accept the new offer ? How do I tell the previous company about this? Also, I’ve already negotiated with the first company and the $115K base is the negotiated salary. Hi anyone in Oncology Clinical Data Management or in a director position looking for a change in companies but all the places I do apply to I get no reply, getting frustrated as we are in the great resignation and there seems to be a lot of jobs out there!

I have no idea how to get motivated again. I am a legit zombie that sits and types for hours and hours without talking to anyone. I feel like a shell of a person. And nobody in management cares about any associates well being in this remote environment. I’m a person who likes to talk about things, but I am well aware that nobody in management would even want to actually do anything to help. Is anyone else feeling the same?

Any recommendations on how to prep from being in an industry role to being in a management consultant role? Any books/good reads to help me understand frameworks or other important ideas that will help me successfully transition would greatly appreciated. I start my new role at A&M HIG next week.

The upgrad one is pricey yes, but I see folks who have done it and got a DS role.
