I’m 26 weeks pregnant and trying to figure out my leave. I live in NJ and work at PwC, any fishes know the policy for NJ and PwC? The leave center has not been much help and I want to plan NOW not like 60 days before. I was told NJ gets two weeks before due date and PwC gives you two weeks as well.

Barclays for the role, would avoid audit at all cost
depends on your kind of jam but isn’t audit so boring? You aren’t a specialist and are poking holes in processes (and asking silly and time wasting questions) and have to craft reports while paying so much attention to writing style. Market risk is quantitative, you’re way closer to the markets and actually using your brains productively (report churning can still be mundane but at least you’re proactively think about quant risk)
Market risk over internal audit any day lol
Hey. I’ve worked at both Barclays (5NC) and Citi (33CS) and can honestly say that the cultures were very similar. Agree with some of these comments though about maybe considering avoiding audit!
Market Risk role over Internal Audit for sure! Barclays is a great bank… maybe you can get hired directly into Citi’s MR group in the future
Market risk at Barclays would be better the audit at Citi. IMO
I would go with Citi for the reason you mentioned as well as the fact that Citi is known for having slightly better culture and WLB
thanks, well I would usually agree, but having worked at citi I think work culture is not as great as it made to be, in my experience they just lack coherence between teams and structure to their initiatives, everything is too convoluted & they seems to be always catching up to more structured banks. But I agree that barclays has more risk at the moment. Any experience of barclays culture?
i am ex barclays. would definitely go for Citi
I agree. I hear WAY better things about CITI.
Vp at coti is really junior
Hmmm. This is tough, to be honest. But I'll go with Citi. You will undoubtedly have more career opportunities.
