Looking to do a solo trip soon for 1-2 weeks. Goal is to eat a lot of good food and if possible, do a lot of great hiking. Initially was thinking San Sebastian for Elkano or Copenhagen for noma, but those places don’t really meet the second requirement.

Any recs? Based out of San Francisco.

Iceland has both, but is very $$$. You could also go to the Dolomites region of Italy and spend a few days in a larger city. Croatia also has a lot of amazing hiking, but it isn’t as easily accessible to the big cities where the high end restaurants are, but plenty of good local food.

Just found out that my favorite aunt, who claimed I was her “favorite” niece, chose to leave all her valuables to her other two nieces who never visited or called her once in the last ten years. I probably sound petty, but a part of me is forcing me to re-evaluate every interaction I ever had with her.
