I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

Prepare to devote significant time to exercise and training. My 11 month old mutt gets 45 min at a park playing fetch and two 20 minute walks per day. I use it to listen to podcasts and audiobooks but it’s an investment. Pupper is super well behaved when he gets that exercise, a little terror on the few days he does not
So cute! This is my sweet boy when I first got him. You’re gonna love it! Ps - know I have an Aussie not a BC but my dog does NOT shed like the people above mentioned... yes he sheds and you can see it on some types of clothing but my friends with labs and GSD and huskys deal with waaaay more shedding than I do. Every dog is different I guess. I brush him daily to every other day so that helps too. Have fun with your new little nugget!!
Picking her up in 4 weeks! Love this bowl - rock on ppl 🤙🏼
Update if any of you are still around - pup is 7 months old now. Fully potty trained and adjusted to apartment life really well. We walk and go to the park often. Big time commitment, but it's amazing how much time you save being off social media. Shedding is very minimal (brush once/week). She doesn't mind being cooped up - we have a 5 month old kitten who she herds as her full time job, so this helps. Thanks all for the advice!

I live in dt dallas with an Australian Shepherd puppy (almost 1 yo) with no issues at all. As long as you’re willing to go to dog parks/on walks
Border collies are fine in much hotter environment than Atlanta... they are not huskies
Be prepared for a lot of shedding too.
Do you live an active lifestyle i.e. running? I think you can make it work if you are active and take your dog with you on your runs.
Dog parks!! Newtown dream and morningside nature preserve are great
Is Atlanta climate OK for those breeds and their amount of fur? Just curious. Thinking of all that sticky humidity combined with heat...
There's the dog park at Piedmont too. Just have to be dedicated to morning/evening long walks, but you can hire someone as well if there are times you can't. That's what we do though our dog is small she has a lot of energy to get out.
I always touch the asphalt / cement floor with my bare hands to see if it is too hot for my doggie
I have a border collie mix and she is a handful but I wouldn’t trade her for the world. I live in the city and only have a very small patio that’s big enough for potty breaks
- it took me a full year to fully potty train her (I got her as a 6-mo-old rescue).
- She gets the “zoomies” daily (sprinting throughout the house)
- she doesn’t play fetch, so to get her energy out, I either have to run with her, or take her to an area where she can chase squirrels/other dogs
- the shedding is annoying, but frequent baths help!
- get LOTS of toys for distractions and keep anything chew-worthy (paper, wood, shoes) out of reach.
- they can JUMP HIGH!!! Mine ate an entire pound of meat off a kitchen counter when I wasn’t looking because I had no idea how high her reach was
If you love your dog enough to out in the work (or pay someone else to haha) it should be fine.
I am. Usually bike on weekdays and mtn bike/backpack/hike on weekends. Not super into running but I am getting there. Very close to Piedmont park so we have a good place to exercise. I've read they are mostly ok with small apt spaces if they have proper exercise.
Chi here, border collie Lab mix, she’s about 60lb. I have the perk of being able to bring her to work. But on days I’m too busy she seems fine at home. She enjoys chewing as stress relief so I get her Himalayan dog chews. She did get into pillows when we first started living together...Himalayan dog treats. Have No smells and doesnt upset her stomach. She does love to run but is just happy happy going out side. We do the dog beach in the spring / summer and dog park the rest of the year . She got used to a more chill life style at home. She’s pretty independent and let’s me know when she wants to go out by ringing the bells.
Is it that much more than other dogs...? I.e. Vs Germans?
Yeah lex does shed a lot ! You can pet her all day long and not notice, until u wear a white shirt to bed and it’s all over u and the tumble weed of fluffs everyday .... lol u kind of get used to it but then again I have had wood and it’s easy to sweep
Took my Alaskan malamute on long walks, at least 3-5 miles a day, at parks. The rest of the time were spent in my apartment, short potty breaks and walk around the block, watching squirrels through the window while lounging on the couch, people watching from the same couch, etc.
