Looking to pivot my career into project management from property management and current role finance “sales”. I took a project management course back in 2017 in college. We had a final assignment where I had to write up a business charter including time, scope, budget. Also created a WBS and Gantt chart. Since I really have no other PM experience, should I post my assignment to my LinkedIn page? Will recruiters actually see the projects that we post?

Hi, been stuck in the contract analysis/review cycle. I have asked a few recruiters how to make a lateral move into in-house. They told me to focus on contract management, which I have been doing for the past year. How long does it take EY GDS to hire? I've applied for some positions (bcom fresher) on June last week. For 2 positions (Core AMS- Staff & GDS.SaT_VME_BVals_Analyst) it's showing "we'd like to progress you to the next step in our recruiting process" since July 1st. It's been 10 days, but no update/email/phone calls. Can somebody help?

How long does it take for PwC to send out rejection email? I interviewed with the team like a month ago, the recruiter called me the next day and told me that congrats, everyone likes me and told that they were working on my official offer. 3 weeks later, nothing. I followed up 3 times already and got the answer that I should expect to hear by the end of the week. My last follow up email, no response lol. Should I just move on now?

How do you get good at thinking on your feet? I find I always need time to think and analyse before being able to answer client queries (even those that are considered simple by others). I don't want to rush and get it wrong. I avoid phone calls for this reason which isn't great when you're in the service industry so it's starting to impact my career.

My project client location in Denver started in person mandatory days. Few of colleagues started to go there. I’m confused as I was hired as PDM and I live in east coast and project is in west coast. My firm’s IT (especially system saving and file locating function) is so bad 😐😞 and they keep doing updates no one asked them for just to mess with the stuff we already got a hang of without doing anything about the issues we actually need fixed. Anyone else in a similar boat? Do you bill the client for the time it takes to fix the IT issue (or IT inefficiency generally, like time taken to find a file in a convoluted system)? I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. However, now I got an email from the hiring manager that hiring for my role has been paused due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. He expects to resume the hiring for the role in Q1 '23 and would resume the process then. So is it the end? Honestly, I don't expect him to come back. But what do you think?

I have an MHA and 4 years of management experience. I’m currently a manager, but seeking a director level position. Any advice for trying to temper my expectations? I feel like all director level positions have 5 years in the posting, but a lot of my peers with the same experience are already in director level positions. Are they just lucky? Am I jumping the gun? Do I just need to stick it out?

I have 5 YOE in Analytics... always thought I wanted to be a DS, but every job (even the junior ones) required experience in ML development. Though I am part of the ML project, I'm not the person develop the model. And I have a hard time when the interviewer ask about how I develop the model and what hyperparameters I tuned. I know the thought process and stuff but 'I' wasn't the one who did that part in the project. How to convince them that I could do the job without taking credit of others.

Should I be concerned about abusing adderell? I was depressed/lacking motivation and needed to get some deals done and my hours up ASAP. Convinced my doctor I had ADHD, so I now have a legal prescription. I feel so much better, and am getting so much accomplished. No judgement please. We all know this is a high stress, high pressure environment.

I’m looking to pivot from Finance to Proj Mgmt and currently working through the Google course in order to sit for the CAPM. My only PM experience comes from stepping in on accounts I manage, where there is no PM presence. That means, most of those tasks were related to the budget and scoping, not necessarily execution. Is this enough to land a PM role?
